LARGEST ROCKET ENGINE IN THE FREE WORLD,—American technicians making final adjustments to a Rocketdyne F-l rocket engine capable of producing 756 tons of thrust. The assembly on top of the engine is the turbopump which forces three tons of fuel into the engine’s combustion chamber every second. The burning fuel produces a jet of flame more than 100 ft long.
