Recommendation For Children

Mothers and grandmothers were asked to urge children to give their Christmas presents to "those lor "whom there will be no Christmas,” by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch (the Most Rev. E. M. Joyce) speaking at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on Sunday morning.

“New Zealanders are naturally generous. Let us as Christ ans be generous to those wh> are in need,” said Bishop Joyce. For many children in near countries Christmas would be just another day and parents would be doing something worth while in encouraging their children to practice Christian generosity, Bisbop Joyce said.
