Pit Stops

A photographic trial held recently by the Canterbury Car Club resulted in I. M. Soper (Austin) being placed first With 19 points. At the start competitors received 13 photographs and an answer sheet and had to drive around the city and suburbs trying to locate the object depicted in each photograph, in order to fill in the missing words on the sheet. P. R. Cresswell (Hillman) with 18 points was second, and G. W. Rae (Austin) came third with 17 points. R. M. Moore (V.W.) and B. T. Andrews (Morris) were fourth equal.

! A record-breaking total !of more than 90 entries i has been received for the ; Levin Motor Racing Club’s ; meeting tomorrow. The : previous highest number ; of entries was 66. Most of ■ the better known New .Zealand drivers have entered for events in the meeting, and altogether 16 Coopers and six Lotuses will be seen. F. Carden, a former champion New Zealand motor-cycle racer, has entered the former M. Gill Lycoming Special, which is now fitted with a more powerful engine and disc brakes.
