Evening Vehicle Testing

The Christchurch City Council's vehicle testing station had tested 314 vehicles on Monday and Wednesday evenings, said the Acting Traffic Superintendent (Mr H. W. Birdling). The testing station is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. If the demand warrants it. this arrangement will be continued until Christmas. Mr Birdling said he hoped more motorists would bring their caravans in during the evening, as they caused considerable congestion during the day.
