Freighter Banning Late,— The New Zealand Shipping Company’s freighter. Papanui, on her way from Gladstone in Queensland to Balboa and the east coast of the United States, has developed a leak in her boiler, and is running nearly 12 hours late. She was to have called at Auckland at 9 pun. yesterday for oil bunkering and water, but is not now due to arrive till 8 a m. today.—(P_A.)
