STUDIO TO CONTEST AUCKLAND CUP

Studio will do bis holiday racing at Ellerslie and the £ll,OOO Auckland Cup, to be run on the third day of the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting on New Year's Day. will be his principal mission. Arrangements have been made by K. J. Thomson, who trains Studio for Mr M. M. Hibbard, of Christchurch, to have the Count Rendered gelding taken north by the Riccarton trainer. G. S. Barr, who will be represented at Auckland by the New Zealand Derby winner, Burgos. Both horses will probably ’eave for the north during the second week of December.

The other active members of the Thomson team will probably do their holiday racing on the South Canter-bury-North Otago circuit, but Thomson will be at Ellerslie on Auckland Cup day to saddle Studio for New Zealand's richest two-mile race.
