Forest Fire Danger Serious
Unless there is heavy rain very soon the present danger, ous state of forests In Canterbury will worsen, said the senior forest ranger (Mr C. O. Bridgeman) in Christchurch yesterday. He said the humidity In all State forests in the province was below the 45 per cent, danger level. The fire ratings in each were all high. “We cannot stress enough the dangerous state In the forests,” he said.
