The Chiropractors’ Amendment Bill, returned to the House of Representatives by a select committee yesterday morning, was accepted after some discussion. The House then disposed of the seven remaining classes of estimates. With the expenditure for the previous year in brackets, these were: health, £10,069.225 (£8,709.014), public hospitals, £20.400.000 (£19.561,085), earthquake and war damage fund, £62.000 (£57.281). state fire insurance account. £1,030,000 (£622,679). broadcasting account, £3.050.000 (£2,501.570). post office account, £25.199 950 (£24.157.445), war pensions. £14,090.000 (£13.685.815).
