Man Accidentally Shot In Stomach

(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. November 15 When climbing over a fence this afternoon, a Waitara man triggered off his 503 rifle and shot himself in the stomach. The man. Edward Bidois, married, with two children, had been out rabbiting on seashore wasteland by the Waitara Golf Club. The accident ha.ptpened about 5.16 p.m., just after Mr Bidois had handled his dog over the fence. He was taken to the New Plymouth Hospital by ambulance for an emergency operation.
