Sydenham Beats Peninsula Tn the first round of the Oakes shield series, the Sydenham Rifle Club defeated the Banks Peninsula Club at the Barks Peninsula range. Score*:— Sygenham

Christehifrch Club The Christchurch Rifle Club fired a sweepstake competition at Tai Tapu. Conditions were 10 shots each at 300 vards (two shoots) and seven shots at SOO yards, with two optional sighters at each range. □. McKenzie was the winner R E. Taylor, who was ir. second place, scored the onlv possible with S 3 at 500 yards G Crimp. E. Alexander and A. Kingsbury. who put on 47. were the best individual scorers at 300 vards.
