Youth Fined £25 For Assault

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 14. A defenceless spastic trying to leave the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt, at 11 pzn. last Friday because of a disturbance, was thrown to the aisle by one of a group of arguing youths, SeniorSergeant H. C. Richardson said in the Magistrate’s Court at Lower Hutt today when Johnny Poihakena Jackson, aged 19, freezing worker, appeared on a charge of assault. The police conceded that Jackson bad not known at the time that the complainant was a spastic. The Magistrate convicted and fined Jackson £25.
