Seven horses qualified to start at tetaHsater iTiWf iingl Dy recorom® 3min 29see or better for 12 fnriengs at trials held at Methven yesterday by the MM - Canterbury and Breeders* As was tbe case at the recent Addington trials, the standard of horses produced was not high and wide margins separated most of the placed horses in the three heats.
Fastest time of tain 26sec was returned by Officious Piper, winner of the first hettL A four-year-old gelding by Gay Piper from a useful mare in Officious, he is trained at Weedons by J. G. Crofts.
