MINOR FIRES

No damage was caused by a rubbish fire on the property of C. W. F. Hamilton and Company, Ltd., in Lunns road, Sockbum, at 8.40 a.m. yesterday. Fire engines from the Central and Sydenham stations attended. A garage at 11 Brodie street, Riccarton, was severely damaged yesterday morning by a fire thought to have been started from a rubbish fire. The alarm was given at 9.21 a.m. and engines attended from the Central and Sockburn stations.
