MAN KILLED BY CAR

Wife Injured (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, November 11. An elderly Dunedin man was killed and his wife injured when they were struck by a ear in David street, near Forbury comer, at 6.45 p.m. yesterday. The dead man was George E. Scott, aged 74, of 35 Fitzroy street, Dunedin.

His wife, Mrs Rose Scott, aged 75, who was walking with him at the time, was admitted to Dunedin Public Hospital. The driver, of the car was James Victor Mazey, 9 Ings avenue, St. Clair.

Mr N. H. Buchanan will leave Christchurch today for New Delhi to attend the third assembly of the World Council of Churches as a delegate of the Church of the Province of New Zealand. He intends to return on December 23.
