RETURN TO WORK
Order In Mt. Isa Dispute (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) BRISBANE, Nov. 12. The senior State Industrial Commissioner. Mr H. J. Harvey, issued back-to-work members employed at Mt. Isa dispute, which has kept the giant copper mine idle since September 25. He directed that all union members employed at Mr. Isa Mines, Ltd., should return to work not later than Monday week. He also ordered Mt. Isa Mines, Ltd., to resume operations and end the present deadlock. Mr Harvey ordered that separate and individual meetings of the unions concerned be held to consider the re-turn-to-work orders. The dispute arose from claims by unions for rises in their £B-a-week bonus. The claims were refused by the employers and the mine. Australia's richest copper producer, was shut down aftef the unions enforced overtime bans and other restrictions causing a drop in mine production.
