STALINGRAD RENAMED
Now Called Volgograd fN-Z-P-A.-Reuter—CopyripM) MOSCOW, Nov. 12. , Russia's "hero city” of Stalingrad has been renamed Volgograd, the Soviet Communist Party newspaper. "Pravda” reported. The decision.was taken in order to grant the requests of the staffs at industrial enterprises. construction pro- ' jects, state farms, collective farms and offices and also : after appMcations by public organisation* of the region, tbe newsgnper said. Two other cities already affected by "de-StaUnisation" ; are Stalinsk, in southern Siberia, and Stalin®, in the Ukraine. "Sovietskaya Rossiya,” the newspaper of the Russian Federation, announced yesterday that Stallnsk had reverted to its old name of Novokuznetsk. Stalino, the important iron and steel city in the Don Easin where Mr Khrushchev once worked, had been renamed Fonetsk, it was announced last Thursday. •
