6000 Cigarettes Stolen
Six thousand cigarettes, cakes and boxes of chocolate and some tobacco, worth a total of £5O 8s 6d, were stolen from the dairy of Mona Naisbitt, 236 Lincoln road, between midnight and 10 am. yesterday. Entry was gained by removing the louvres above the near door. The Royal Hotel, 24 Oxford terrace, was entered between 2.30 a.m. and 6 a.m. yesterday. The louvres above the private bar were removed and the thief reached through and removed a bottle of whisky and a bottle of gin, which were suspended on bowsers above the bar.
