BLUFF HARBOUR TENDER

City Finn Wins £47,000 Job •The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL, Oct. 23. The Southland Harbour Board has accepted a tender of £47,650 from P Graham and Son, Ltd., of Christchurch, for the construction of a combined gear store and off-wharf stores building on the new island harbour at Bluff. A provisional estimate of the cost, taken out roughly to assist the board in earlier discussions on the job. was £64,000. Three other tenders were received for the work, all from Southland contractors. The other tender prices were £51.182, £51,957, and £54,879 The success of the P. Graham and Son tender for the construction of this stores building will add yet another building to the already substantial list which the firm has constructed on the new harbour. The firm has constructed four cargo sheds, the waterfront amenities building, and a plant garage, and is well on the way with the board’s administration building.
