AUCKLAND. October 22. A dogged finishing run gave Guiseppe a narrow victory in the T. J. Smith Memorial, the mein event on the first night of the Auckland Trotting Club's October meeting on Saturday. Guiseppe beat Loyal Parade by half a head, with Great Reveller only a neck away, third. The double—Guiseppe and Blue Prince—paid £52 4s fid for £l.
