New Zealanders In World Skating

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) BOLOGNA (North Italy), October 21. New Zealanders filled tenth and eleventh places in the men’s event of the world roller skating championships last night. They were P. McCauley, tenth, with 973.7 points, and B. Wales, eleventh, with 930.3 points. The winner was K. Losh, of West Germany (1236.3 points). Second was V. Thies, also West Germany (1196.6), and third D. Menegotto, Italy (1161.7). Miss Whyte, of New Zealand, was placed twentieth in an unofficial final classification of the women’s event in the championships, with 1057.3 points. West Germany’s Miss M. Fahse was given as first, with 1217.1 points.
