Syrian Revolt
Sir,—Your editorial asserts in one direction and implies in another that there was little in common between Egypt and Syria. I would suggest that there were two bonds, at least, between the two countries: First, a common hatred of Israel, and second, a common admiration of Nazism. Elements of the latter are very welcome in both countries and flourish. My information comes from Quentin Reynolds’s recent book, "Minister of Death.”— Yours, etc., RJi.W. October 2, 1961.
