Health Stamp Sales

Pless Association) WELLINGTON, October 6. Health stamp sales to the end of September totalled £ 132,522, compared with £124,522 at September 30 last year, but sales started a week earlier this year. However, the increase at £BOOO is considerably more than the weekly average and it is expected that the final figures for the year will exceed the £144.317 realised last year. Sales In Auckland increased by £4488, in Hamilton by £1358, and in 13 of the remaining 21 centres increases were shown. Decreases of £BlB■and £606 were recorded in Wellington and Dunedin respectively There were three other small decreases, ot £7 for Timaru. £5 for Whangarei and £1 for Nelson. The Stamps Division figure fell by £l3OB to £5051.
