Customs Holding Parts The movement for the clock which will be installed in the tower at the Christchurch Boys' High School has been held by the Customs Department in Wellington for some months. Letters from the firm which is importing and installing the clock were read at a meeting of the board of governors of the school yesterday afternoon. The first letter said that the department had ■ not been able to classify the clock movement under its new schedule The second, a month later, said that the department had promised to classify the clock movement and release it. The chairman of the board (Mr R. Compton) said that he had been in touch with the firm and that the department had not confirmed its verbal promise in writing. The firm holds the master clock in Wellington.
