State House Rentals
Sir, —When “Disillusioned Nationalist” has completely emoted about the State housing tenants and wiped away all his glycerine crocodile tears, will he kindly inform your readers why he is so anxious that a large minority should, in effect, continue to receive a substantial rental subsidy from the rest of the community who also have their own mortgage instalments, rates, insurance premiums, and upkeep tq, pay? Perhaps included in “Disillusioned Nationalist's’’ many and varied activities is his tenancy of a State house, and he is being justly asked to pay an increased rental.— Yours, etc . DISILLUSIONED FORMER LABOUR SUPPORTER. October 5, 1961.
