New Locomotives On N.I. Services

(HZ Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct 9 Three new DA class 78-ton locomotive*, built in Canada, took over the hauling of overnight goods trains between Wellington and Napier and daytime goods trains between Palmerston North and Napier this week. The first of the new type of diesel-electric locomotives on regular service arrived in Wellington from Napier yesterday.
