UnivenHy Chaplain—Appreciation of the work of the Rev. F. P. P. Goddard, chaplain of the University of Canterbury, was ma ’e by a resolution passed at the conclusion of the fourth and final day of the synod of the Diocese of Christchurch. The resolution was moved by the Rev. B. O. Richards, of Lyttelton. The president (the Very Rev M. G. Sull Ivan > said Mr Goddard's was the first appointment of its kind in New Zealand.
