The boy who helped to rescue two men to the Akaroe Harbour in January. 1968, Richard C. Pierson, was sent a letter of thanks by the Royal Humane Society, and not awarded a bronze medal, as was stated in a report last w>eek of the court of directors of the society. The name and address of a recipient of a bronze medal were given incorrectly 'as “Gary Skinner, of Auckland.” They should have read Gordon Skinner, of Matamata.
