Dredge Adrift In Tasman
(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) MELBOURNE, October 2. An 1842-ton dredge is adrift in the Tasman Sea. No-one is aboard. All ships in coastal waters have been warned that the dredte is dangerous. It is 220 feet long, 44 feet wide, and is equipped with suctiondredge machinery. The dredge broke adrift from the 1199-ton Brenda, which had it in tow when they ran into a storm last night The dredge was being towed to Hong Kong to be broken up for scrap.
