South Canterbury Beaten (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. Sept. 21. Tn a fast and often thrilling Rugby game Marlborough beat South Canterbury, 12-8, at Blenheim today. Played on a drv ground the match was a splendid finale to the Rugby season in Marlborough. It was an evenly-contested game, with some lively exchanges in the forwards, but Marlborough deserved its victory. The half-time score was 3-all.
Scorers for Marlborough were B. Miller and M. Bugler tries. N. Vercoe a penalty, and I. Blackmore a field goal For South Canterbury D. Watson scored a try, converted by G. McLaughlan, and Watson kicked a penalty.
