Arrangements For Season
A motion by the Waltham club that allowances be made for.postponements tn the Christchurch Suburban Cricket Association's competition was lost after a long discussion at the annual meeting of the association last evening. All senior A and B and junior A and B grades will play twoday games as in the past and all third grade and mercantile competition games will last one day. Opening day will be on October 14. After the Christmas holidays the competition will resume on January 13. The following officers were elected : Patron, Mr H. W. Rogers; president. Mr D. N. Stokes: vice-presidents, Messrs I. J. Betteridge, R H. Campbell. F Campbell J. Cook. D. Beer and E. Dawkins: secretary. Mr P. Russell: assistant secretary. Mr J. O'Neill: auditor. Mr W H. Down; trustees of special fund. Messrs H. W. Rogers and D Mitchell; management committee. Messrs A. Tixzard, T. Barber. W. Di t ford, R. Moir J. Stephens. J. O'Neill. H. Tolshard, I. Meynell, L. Watson. M. B. O'Malley (mercantile), V. Mallard and D YoUl.
