FUNDS FOR SCHOOL

Flower Show And Fete

A spring flower show and fete will be held in the grounds of the Governor’s Bay School on September 30. The show and fete have been organised to raise money for playground equipment and library books for the school. The flower show will be opened in the afternoon by Mr N. E. Kirk. M.P. Stalls selling a variety of goods will be open and there will be a number of sideshows. Displays will be given by the Metropolitan Pipe Band, girls’ marching teams, members of a model aeroplane club and the Governor’s Bay School physical education team.

In the evening a mock court, an auction sale and a dance will be held in the Allandale Hall.
