The Canadian Prime Minister (Mr Diefenbaker) told the House of Commons yesterday that the question of admitting Communist China to the United Nations was not "susceptible to hasty solution," Canadian Press reported. The New Zealand proposal to have the question of Chinese representation on the agenda would mean more thorough study of the question than ever before. A steadily-growing number of States desired the discussion, he said One factor for Canada was her belief that the people of Formosa deserved the right of self-determination. On these factors and others Canada would make up its mind during the China debate, he said.
