YOUTH GIVEN PROBATION
Breaking, Entering, Theft Charges (N:Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. The accused had acted Under pressure out of a misguided sense of duty to provide a home for the girl he had intended to marry, said Mr G. C. Kent, defending 18-year-old Kerehoma Peter Ell, salesman, in the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington tqday. Ell, appearing for sentence on a charge of breaking and entering the Tinakori service station and theft, was released on probation for two years. Mr R D Jamieson, SM , also ordered him to pay £159 12s lid to the firm and not to own, hire, or drive a motor vehicle during his probation.
