Retirement—Mr J. G. Ilton, traffic supervisor in the postal branch of the Chief Post Office, Christchurch, is to retire on September 30. Mr Ilton joined the department as a message boy in Greymouth on July 12. 1920. In 1925 he was transferred to the St. Albans Post Office, and has served in Christchurch ever since. In 1983 he was Sent to the Public Works Department for 18 months. He has been in his present position for four years.
