Kerrs Reach To Be Floodlit

The floodlighting-of part of Kerrs reach used for rowing was approved by the City Council last evening at a total estimated cost of £5500, towards which the electricity committee agreed to meet half.

The reserves committee agreed to meet the other half; but the installation will be subject to each of the rowing clubs affected agreeing to contribute on the basis of each day’s use.

The proposal reported by the finance committee was to light the quarter-mile to the pavilion end by 36 floodlights mounted on four 60ft columns.
