South Canterbury Beats Nelson
(N.Z. Pres.? Association) NELSON. Sept. 19. Hie touring South Canterbury Rugby team beat Nelson. 47-23. in a fast-moving match at Trafalgar Park this afternoon. It led 42-0. at one stage but Nelson rallied with four converted tries during the last 20 minutes. For Soyth Canterbury. M Watson scored 17 points with seven conversions and a penalty goal. E. Smith, at second five-eighths, scored four tries.
