Potato Shipments
Up to last Saturday 345,192 sacks of potatoes had been shipped from Lyttelton this season, 42,284 sacks in the last fortnight. Details of shipments with season's totals in parenthesis, are as follows: Auckland, 14.823 sacks (93,193); Wellington, 5371 (44,896): Napier. Gisborne, 9761 (59.328); West Coast. North Island, 8059 (63.225): Fiji and Australia, 4270 (84.750).
To the co..iparable date last year total shipments from Lyttelton amounted to 292,616 sacks, and the 1959 figure was 327,451.
