Recovery In Profit

“The Special Servici AUCKLAND. Sept. 19.

After three years in which trading was seriously affected by the after-effects of floods and fire, the Rotoiti Timber Company. Ltd.. Ngongotaha, has shown a strong recovery in net profit for the year ended June 30. The consolidated result of £6184 compares with £74 in 1959-60 and £477 the year before. This profit is struck after providing £5826 for taxes (none was required in either of the past two ’'years) and £l6l more for depreciation at £4666. It represents an earning rate of 7.4 per cent, on shareholders’ funds of £83,298. ■The dividends—l2| per cent, ordinary and 6 2/5 per cent, preference—are unchanged. requiring £5575 and £247 respectively. There are no other appropriations and the carry-forward is £362 greater at £1631.
