Steady Profit Last Year IN.Z. Press Association) WESSINGTON. Sept 19. The Golden Bay Cement Company, Ltd., made a net profit for the year ended June 30, 1961, of £240,622, which is £14,905 (6.6 per cent.) more than last year’s figure of £225,717, the chairman of directors, Sir John Hott, announced today.

The result, which is subject to audit, was obtained after providing £254331 for depreciation (£254,449 last year) and £245,764 for taxation (£172,955).

A final dividend of 4 per cent, is recommended which, together with the interim 4 per ceht.'. makes 8 per cent, (unchanged) for the year.

Shareholders from the Waitomo Portland Cement, Ltd., will receive half of the final dividend, 2 per cent. After paying £ 128,000 for dividends for the year and transferring £lOO,OOO to reserve, there is a carryforward of £ 135,217, compared with £ 122595 last year. The dividend will be payable on November 23.
