DRAINAGE BOARD LOANS
Continued Good Support Hie revived public support for the board’s loans after the Budget was sustained for the whole of August. and public subscriptions were the highest for any month this year, the treasurer (Mr T. A Tucker) told the Christchurch Drainage Board last evening. This had enabled the way to be cleared for a new issue of £225.000 from September
Up to yesterday. £133.370 had been subscribed Mr Ticker said that was slightly in excess of the recent city council loan issue which bad filled rapidly. “There to have been quite good support for our issues.”
