Urgency was taken on the unfinished debate on the introduction of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill when the House of Representatives met yesterday. The urgency was extended to Imprest Supply Bill No. 4.
The Whakatane Board Mills Water Supply Bill was introduced and papers tabled included the annual report of the board of trustees of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum. The I.C. and A. Amendment Bill was given, a first reading at 3.32 p.m. The Opposition refused an application that it be read a second time and referred to the Labour Bills Committee. The House then proceeded with discussion on the Imprest Bill, which was passed. The House adjourned at 5.55 p.m. until Tuest day.
