Briggs, Moore, In Speedway Final

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, September 2. The New Zealander, Barry Briggs, won the British qualifying final of the world speedway ehampionship this evening. A crowd of 42,000 saw Briggs race away with his five matches for a maximum of 15 points. Britain’s Peter Craven was second, with 14 points, and another New Zealander, Ronnie Moore, was third, with 12. Other qualifiers for the world final at Malmoe, Sweden, were R. How, B. Andrews, and K. McKinley (each with nine points), and R. Cresp, with eight. Four others with seven points will ride off for the two remaining places.
