TREES PLANTED AT PARK

Gallipoli Men On Hills Olive trees, rhododendrons and a Turkey oak, specially supplied by the Christchurch City Council’s Parks and Reserves Department. were planted at Elizabeth Park. Cashmere, on Saturday morning by a group of members of the Canterbury branch of the Main Body Association. Such ceremonies have been held for several years at the park, part of which was o-iginally set aside by the City Council for use as a memorial to the main body men of the First World War The director of narks and reserves (Mr H G Gilpin' was present at Saturday morning’s ceremony.
