Profit Of £lB5 For Year

The Reefton Trotting Club made a pnofit of £lB5 on its operations last season, after spending £2065 on stakes and with £2872 tex. This was announced by the president (Mr A. Aroher) at the annual meeting in Reefton last week. Mr Archer said the club’s finances were in “a sound state.” Totalisator turnover on the annual race meeting in December had been substantially higher than the previous year, totalling £35,442 10s, compared with £28,351 ss. Totalisator receipits were the chib’s largest item of income, amounting to £4555. Its share of the T.A.B. distribution was £1236. One new member, Mr F. W. Archer, was elected to the committee at the meeting. Officers elected were:— President, Mr A. Archer; vice-president. Mr J. S. O’Malley; committee, Messrs G. J. Murtha, R. J. Irving. W. S. Butcher, H. J. Wood, M. A. Rosanowski, J. N. NkhoMs, F. W. Archer. A. B. Archer.-T. N. Young, K. W. McMahon. W. Lockington, C. J. Ladner; treasurer, Mr A. Archer.
