Amberley Trotting Club

The Amberley Trotting Ckib will hold its fourth annual matinee meeting at the annuel meeting at the Amberley racecourse on September 9. when there win be a full programme of events. There will be a parade also for two-year-oJris. An equalisator will operate on all races and there will be a “double " No charge will be made for atknission to the meeting. Crew Shortage Delays Veasris.—Three Union Steam Ship Company vessels which have been delayed by crew shortage at Lyttelton have had only moderate success in obtaining replacements. One inter-colonial vessel, the Waimea, was manned and sailed last evening for Wellington but another intercolonial freighter, the Walpori, requires five able seamen and a coastal vessel, the Korowai, requires three able seemen before they can sail.
