Higher Charges For Services
(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Aug. 25. Mr M. A. Connelly (Opposition, Riccarton) asked the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) in the House of Representatives today wtiethe- the estimated increase of £6.7 million in revenue from increased postal charges, railway fares, electricity charges and house rentals was included in the 1961 Budget, and if so, under what headings. New Procedure On Wednesdays (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 25. The, House of Representatives today accepted the motion of the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) that from next Wednesday for the remainder of the session, Government business would take precedence on Wednesdays. Wednesday afternoons are usually set aside for private members’ business.
