Test Averages

The Australian left-hand opening batsman, W. Lawry, with an average of 52.5, headed the batting averages in the test series between England and Australia. R. Subba Row, also a left-hand opening batsman, scored the most runs, with 468 runs in 10 innings. A. K. Davidson, who took 23 wickets, had the highest number of wickets. F. S. Trueman, who only played in four tests, took 20 wickets. The averages for the series are:—
