N.Z. Investors “Penalised”

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Aug. 22. Persons who invested their savings in New Zealand Government and local bodies’ loans found themselves at a dis’inot disadvantage compared with persons who invested their money overseas when they wanted to buy a new car. said Mr J. Mathison (Opposition, Avon) in the House of Representatives today. Mr Mathison asked the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr Marshall) if he would take steps to ensure that “such patriotic citizens’’ as those who invested in loans in New Zealand were not penalised.
