Mr Got;c was to have met the council, yesterday, but had to cancel the engagement because of . the -isit of the Prime Mini rter of Samoa. He said • that he intended to see the council as soon as possible to arrange a visit to Christchurch, although so fhr, w-ith Parliament sitting .until midnight and engaged in the I.M.F. debate, it had not been possible to fix a n bw date.
