PRODUCTION OF “TOSCA”

Christchurch Season In October Puccini’s opera “Tosca” will be presented in Christchurch by toe New Zealand Opera Company for a season starting on October 17. The opera will be produced by Marcello Cortis, a leading opera producer and singer from Milan, who will have one of the leading roles. Tosca will be played by Vincente Major, of Dunedin. The opera conducted by Mr John Hopkins, accompanied lw membess of toe: --National- OrtHfestra; There will be a ohbrus bf -30: Mr J. Collins, chairmen of the Christchurch executive of the company, said that the opera will be presented in all the main centres and a number of smaller centres.
